Celebrating every day of my life

Celebrating every day of my life
I have a hectic busy work schedule that drains me of all my energy and vigor. Yet on reaching
I find that a new life is waiting for me so that I can celebrate every moment of being at home.
Just as I walk into my home I find the blooming flowers and plants in my kitchen garden looking in my direction.
I feel that they are celebrating my arrival and being with me and why not? For I am the one who nurtures them  and give them water every day and when I work on a new vegetable bed or flower bed digging deep into the earth  to make pits that can be filled with fertile and manure rich soil, these plants sway in the wind and give me good company.
They dance and celebrate the hard work that I have put in so that they can bloom and blossom.
The bougainvillea is always there to give me company and so are the Indian varieties of roses that fill my home  with their fragrance and celebrate nature in its abundance. The brightly colored Primroses brighten the evenings  and there cannot be a dull day thanks to the vibrancy of their color and the sweet aroma that they spread.
The night blooming jasmine ensures that the sweet fragrance keeps flowing in to my room and keeps
me refreshed throughout the night. The dandelions grew up on their own accord uninvited yet when they bloomed  I let them stay and when they bloom and their flowers turn into a feathery mass it’s a sight to behold.
I get frequent visitors like the bees and the butterflies in my garden that fly  around from one flower to another  in the process of collecting nectar and are themselves enjoying the party of life and bring me cheer.  However they are not alone in giving me company. The cacti were the first inhabitants in the lawn
and present even before I moved into this house of mine. They stand guard like soldiers at the entrance guarding my lawn. Their thorns are to protect and the defense against intruders and the pink flowers that they have greet me every time I walk past them. Then just on entering the garden  is a bed of herbs that I use in my kitchen and also they serve as my medical first aid box.
There is turmeric to cleanse and purify my blood and tulsi to boost my immunity. There is garlic that not just gives flavor to my food but also keeps my cholesterol in check and how I can forger the ginger buds growing underneath  the soil always ready to ward off colds and headaches.
The Aloe Vera plants not just add color to my garden but also ensure their place in my beauty treatment regime  as they are an integral part of all the home made face packs.
Together me and my plants co-exist as we live together in one home tending for each other
and ever so protective and celebrating life together.
